Decontamination, Dismantling and Demolition

THE CHARTER APPROACH
Charter's approach is focused on maximizing project efficiencies and exceeding customer expectations. We plan and set up our projects working closely with our customers and consider key risks, stakeholder objectives, alternative approaches, and safety hazards as part of planning to ensure effective project delivery. To maximize performance in the field, we leverage experienced staff, proven systems and tools, and streamlined access to company-owned equipment.

Decontamination and Demolition
Charter provides extensive expertise to perform turnkey, complex decontamination and demolition projects, including asbestos, lead, mold, and PCB abatement; dismantling of active/inactive process systems; total or partial demolition of buildings and plants; and materials crushing, screening, washing, and re-use.

Asbestos, Lead, PCB and Mold Abatement
To facilitate abatement activities, Charter has licensed 40-hour OSHA-trained supervisors, inspectors, and craft laborers cross-trained in asbestos, lead, and mold abatement. We have in-depth knowledge of current regulations, waiver processes, and exemptions, allowing us to reduce owners' liabilities and accelerate completion.

Demolition and Debris Removal
With expertise in hazardous materials abatement, interior demolition, and building takedowns, Charter provides a single source to satisfy our customers' demolition requirements. We have experience performing demolition under a wide variety of conditions, such as contaminated environments, ecologically sensitive areas, close proximity to culturally/historically significant structures, highly congested areas, and within occupied buildings. Charter also provides expertise in "green" demolition techniques, such as, waste segregation, recycling and beneficial reuse of materials, to reduce disposal costs and to promote sustainability.
